Travis called the special SSHBEA Board of Directors meeting to order at 8:10P.M. on August 8, 2005 and asked Janice Higgins to call the roll. All were present except John Mohon, Mark Cutlip, Dan Meyer and Freda Wassom.

Brenda Wright made the motion to add a Country Trail Pleasure Championship class to the Fall Show. Motion died due to controversy.

Janice Higgins suggested that 5^th place should pay back the entry fee. Sis Osborne made the motion to change 5^th place to pay $20. Janice Higgins seconded, motion passed. This would make 4^th & 5^th both pay $20.

Bob Wright made the motion for the judges that are TWH judge, but were not approved as SSHBEA judges, not be left in the judges pool for our Fall Show. Janie Rowland seconded, motion passed with 12 yes votes and 3 no votes. Bob Wright reported several problems with the judging of Richard Walls at the Eagleville show. He made a motion to not allow his name in the pool for the Fall Show, Aaron Crafton seconded, motion died with 2 yes votes, 2 no votes and the rest abstaining. Johnny Smith requested his reason for abstaining be included in the minutes---it is "that we have other commission judges that have failed to judge a horse show correctly this year and from that standpoint he is not willing to single any one individual out and he didn’t think it was fair".

Next judges were drawn for the Fall Show. The first 12 are Larry Derryberry, Amy Trimble, Cory Clay, Dale Watts, Dwayne Sullivan, Chris Messick, Phil Dunivan, Jeff Givens, Libby Lawrence, Stevie Lidell, Ronny Sapp and Jackie Byrom.

Johnny Smith made the motion to pay the judges at the Fall Show $200 per night with no expenses paid. Motion was seconded and passed.

Sis Osborne made the motion to pay the ringmasters $50 per night, Freda Bullard seconded, motion passed.
