Minutes of the
At
Mack
went over the final copy of the penalties presented by the USDA.
He asked everyone to take all this home and read over it.
Mack
then apologized for judging a Columbia TWH show on the Friday night of our
Spring Show. Also he reported on the
scene on Saturday night of our Spring Show.
He said on the way into the show, 4 different people had said something
to him about Terry Stones judging appearing to show favoritism.
He said something to Phil Dunivan when he came out of the ring on his
victory lap about his win being a gift. He
then proceeded to the gate and asked if anyone had seen Jimmy Taylor, no one
there had, so Mack went to center ring and said something to Terry Stone about
the way he had judged that particular class that Phil had won.
He wants the poor judging to stop-this is the reason he did this.
Mack said Dickie Gardner made the statement to him that he did not think
this was the way to handle the situation and Mack said maybe it’s not.
Terry Stone summonsed Bob Wright to center ring and told him what happen.
Bob left the ring and met with 2 other members of the show committee and
the judge’s committee chairman and they all agreed that Bob should ask Terry
Stone to set out the rest of the show.
Aaron
Crafton presented the financial report. Bob
Wright made the motion to approve it, motion seconded and passed.
Don
Woodson reported the Judges committee had met and request support of the board
to give the Spring Show judges, Terry Stone and Grandy Tuck a polygraph test as
the contract states we can. Doug
Herring made the motion to approve this, Freda Bullard seconded, motion passed.
Peggy
Moore had called and could not get to the meeting but would send a packet to the
board members with 6 different possible annual meeting locations with prices and
all info. She will be at the next
meeting.
Gordon
Hirschi reported on his Outreach program. We would need to join the organization
that you want your points to be accounted for.
Mr. Hirschi presented a list of several organizations our people might be
interested in participating in. SSHBEA
will supply the forms and add to the web page.
Sis Osborne made the motion to approve this Outreach program, Freda
Bullard seconded, motion passed. Info
on this needs to go in the news-letter and magazine as well as the web page.
Janice
Prince reported the judges committee had recommended the following SSHBEA judges
to be approved. Harold Johnson,
Hubert Perry and Patrick Thomas. Someone
mentioned that Harold Johnson has a letter in his judge’s file – we would
table him at the present. Commission
judges to be approved are: Amy
Trimble, Phillip Trimble, William Steele, Brian Reese and Rodney Flagel - all
were AA judges. Jennifer Broadhurst made the motion to approve these judges,
Ronnie Sapp seconded, motion passed. The
Harold Johnson fie letter was read to the board and a roll call vote was called
for. The vote was 6 yes to 10 no and
1 abstention to not approve his judge’s license.
